Asima Zahid is a nationally recognized insurance industry leader with more than 20 years of experience driving strategic growth, building high-impact partnerships, and advancing meaningful change across the Canadian insurance landscape. She currently serves as Senior Vice President, National Brokers and Lloyd’s Portfolio at First Onsite Property Restoration, where she leads national Insurance strategy, helping shape the future of insurer and Broker partnership with First Onsite across North America.

Throughout her career, Asima has held senior leadership roles with some of Canada’s most respected organizations, including Sompo, Lloyd’s, Aviva, TD Insurance, and industry associations, where she led business development, distribution strategy, and stakeholder engagement. She is widely respected for her ability to connect people, build trust, and deliver results through collaboration and purpose-driven leadership.

A passionate advocate for diversity, inclusion, and community impact, Asima has been an active ambassador for women in insurance and Insurance Institute of Canada. She has served on the Dive In Board for over seven years, participated in national and international industry panels, and is a frequent contributor to initiatives focused on equity, mentorship, and leadership development. Her contributions have been recognized through numerous industry honors, including being named to Insurance Business Magazine’s Elite Women, and the Global 100 Insurance Professionals making a difference worldwide.
